Need Coliover Advice

Advice needed reference coil overs.
I have a 2003 S which currently has stock everything. I am about to add 17" wheels and coilovers.
Looking for coilovers that will give me about a 1.5 inch drop. I am trying to keep the purchase for the coilovers at less than $600.00 which is my budget.
My activities with the car include an occasional HPDE but mostly running the Tail of the Dragon.
Thanks for any responsible input

$600 budget is either e-bay coil over or wait for a used one.

As to the drop on your AP1, I would highly recommend that you restrict the drop to not more than 1.25" if you are running the Dragon a lot. My first S2000's suspension was tuned by King Motorsports in 2001. They got the best handling characteristics at 1" drop. That car was the most nimble car that I've ever owned over my 55 years of sports car ownership.

BTW, I'll probably be selling a full set of Bilstein PSS9 B16 that normally retail for, say, $1,600 when my car comes out of storage in the spring. They have less than 2,000 miles on them. I'll be looking for at least $1,000 at that time. My intent is to go back to stock dampers with a modified spring setup focused on touring.

If you don't care much about adjustable ride height. Try lowering springs Eibach or H&R for less than $250.

New guy here. Lowering by 1.25 means all 4 corners? Thanks in advance. I love lowered look but do not want to sacrifice canyon carving enjoyment.

Lee posted this in December 2014. I'm pretty sure he's taken care of his coil-over dilemma (as a matter of fact, I know he has). Good luck with the sale.
