Out of town, should I put the S up on jackstands in the garage?

I'm finally officially going to Japan next month, tickets and reservations have been purchased and work has approved my time off so it's a go.

However, I would like to know if it would be a good idea to rest the frame on some jack stands rather than have the car sitting on the tires unmoving for 10 days straight.

Thoughts?

Got epic plans for your trip? I am way interested to go there but I think my wife is more interested in India. Make sure you take lots of pictures.

well to be honest 2 of the days we will be doing some disaster cleanup. the other 8 days will be sight-seeing around Tokyo area. I have dedicated 1 day to visiting M-TEC's and Honda's museums in Asaka City, Saitama prefecture though.

India would be neat too - I have a good (and filthy rich) friend from there who has promised to show me around one of these years.

Thanks guys I will be taking my laptop and digital camera so I'll try to post some pics as we move around.

The program we're going through to help clean up the Sendai area warned that there is a fair chance that we might come across some dead bodies which I am admittedly not prepared to encounter, but these guys need help and I'm finally in a position to offer it so I'll just hope that somebody else finds the missing people.

I'll definitely have a huge album on Facebook if you guys want to add me there just PM me and i'll give you my email address to find.

I think that's awesome that you are helping with the clean-up. Hopefully you won't come across any bodies.

Way to go Kalm! Are you a volunteer or do you work for some type of agency?

Gardi - thanks and I will definitely have fun and take pics; no promises on an R34 (would need to buy two - I want one!! haha)

t6 - that actually had crossed my mind... I dunno where our factory is though. My old Prelude was made in the Saitama factory but I believe that was shut down in the 90's.

The Sayama, Saitama factory still churns out Hondas. Not sure if they were closed after the earthquake/tsunami. Fits are built there.

Glenn - I had no idea! coulda sworn they shut it down, maybe what I read was merely that they had ceased producing Preludes there!

On an update note, everything is underway now - the program we're working through is called Helping Hands I believe, and they've confirmed our dates, etc. This next month waiting to depart is making me feel like a child who can't fall asleep the night before Christmas
