Ok, obviously I'm joking folks.

An oldie but a goodie. A timeless classic that was just as applicable then as it is now. Definitely worth a bump.

Thank you sxy, wherever you are right now.

It's sad the way this site has degenerated over a short period of time. I think I'll take a break from this site.

Yep, got rid of one troll, then a regular member decided to become a troll.
What can we do? I am taking suggestions (from non-trolls).

Ban them anyway (only the troll account obviously). Even if they're a very knowledgeable and loyal member, they're obviously not helping the problem by harassing the forum with facetious posts and threads.

If someone pushes you, you dont just push them back. Thats the thought process of children.

Uphold morality of the site, ban anyone making this forum a hostile environment.

I'm of similar mindset as 0ty on this one, only I think I would swap the word morality out in favor of the word integrity.

The golden rule applies. If you don't want it done to you, don't do it to others. And basically, trolling is the internet equivalent to walking up to someone's car and puking in it (top down, driver side). It's not cool, even if you wrap yourself in a flag and claim the right to free speech (just because it spewed forth from your mouth does not mean it merits constitutional protection).

What your a proposing is walking a fine line though because it encourages members to create additional accounts for when the feel like being a dick. I would rather they just refrained from it in the first place.

I do agree that anyone being hostile needs to be booted though. Its sometimes difficult to differentiate between good natured ribbing and all out hostility, especially since some members enjoy the mean spirited back and forth teasing.

Seems like these people think they're helping liven up things with these troll accounts. I say just use your existing account so you're held accountable for the content of your post. Btw, bunnytuna seems to have gone dark....

Thanks RMurphy, I chose morality in reference to our right (not privilege) to proper conduct on the forum.

And Bunnytuna sent me a pm, we talked about it. I hold him no ill feelings, I understand where he is coming from. But I don't think its right. I think it hurts a lot more than it helps. Even light hostility has some truth in it.

I understand there are many points of view, this is just my personal belief.

Not to mention there are many better ways of "livening" things up around here.

there's nothing that can be done, honestly.

this place is like a little old town out in the desert that used to be the center of commerce.. times changed, most people moved away to the big city (s2ki). only a small few remain and they're hostile to any new visitors that are willing to give this place a chance.
