From the sound of things, particularly those who are at work, this shot, complete with exposed nipples and perhaps those things known as private parts, would be in violation. Yes? No?

Does "art" count? Does animation count?

Bogles my mind.

Thanks Switch. These things (the internet) weren't a part of my work life, so I was in the dark. I retired at the end of last century. Besides which, I have always considered naked women as a contact sport.

HELP! The lunatics are attemptin a take over!

I find it offensive when I use a PC or other device, which practically guarantees that I will find something offensive, to search the internet, which is guaranteed to have something offensive to someone, to go to sites, which have no guarantee that I will not find something offensive, then to a favorite site which attempts to control activities I do not find offensive.

I'm particularly offended that someone/anyone would want to limit my freedom and liberty in the "Land Of Freedom and Liberty".

Did ya ever observe ants?

I once brought in a load of rotted timbers containing ants to a site containing even more ants. At first everything was fine, the timber ants stayed in their timbers and the surrounding area. The timber ants eventually noticed the resident ants who were well aware of their arrival, had accepted the situation and made no fuss. Thinking they could take over, the timber ants went to war. They were promptly defeated and eaten. This is nature, nature is always correct. Man has more to learn...

Um, sorry, not to hog the thread but if any of the the mods are afraid of their new found position I'll accept the responsibility of trying to keep everyone happy. Common sense should rule the day. Don't over think it... It really isn't that hard.

I voted against having these pictures. Can't see that it adds anything and may be excluding some female participation. I'd rather have a site with more diversification than less. Also, I think it is in poor taste if a female does make a post to start asking for pictures etc. This probably scares off some females that would otherwise make good participants.

I can't agree with you more Red. I feel this whole thing got a little blown out of proportion and is getting quite trivial and slighty childish.

Hmmmmmm? Not sure if my employees felt that way? I no longer own the practice that I started and ran for nearly thirty years. Maybe my hygienist of 24 years or office manager of 16 or the many that toughed it out for 7 years or more may also agree with your negative assessment of my requirements for employment. Maybe you would allow your employees to over use copiers, personal phone calls or surfing the web, take supplies and other personal time wasters while you pay them. That's your choice as a business owner and the beauty of freedom.

I also have four adult children who have graduated or about to graduate from schools of higher learning. They also might agree that Dad might have been a little strict, however for me, there are rules and in the case of employees, children and pets, .......boundaries.

I know that LEADING in today's political arena is ridiculed and castigated, but if you want a tree to grow straight and tall, you secure it properly while young.

If this is terrible, then You might be correct!

Maybe we can end discussion and try self-policing. One point: Even though advertising for all sorts of products does appeal to our sexual/power/prestige as opposed to conveying information about the product, this forum does not really need to rely on advertising strategies. So it is not required to decide "what is allowable" in terms of posting pics of nice looking females. It just doesn't seem relevant to the basic idea of this forum which is an exchange of information about S2000 and other sports cars.

Jv, check out some of the archived stuff in the hermetically sealed site vault.
The site has never been about just sportscars.
It's about people, the differences between them and communicating those differences.
Without that this place would have withered and blown away ages ago.

Hey JJ,

Should I start posting my beer-making recipes. After all this might fall under communicating differences. I think if I did someone or many would tell me to take my recipes to a homebrewers forum. But maybe they wouldn't because brewing beer would not be so inflammatory as "skin". But my point is they both seem not relevant and even if the skin stuff in someway I can't quite see is relevant, it seems to add a bigger downside than upside to the forum.

Besides, I don't think the site would have withered away without the skin posts, do you?

If I'm not mistaken, there is probably a thread about home brewing or almost anything else in the S2KI forum. I hang out in the Vintage group there more than here.

Honest to God, a while back the brewmeisters took over a portion of the front page.
(And none of their lockers were plastered with anti-beer slogans.)
Photography, art (Yes. We've a few that do and more than a few that appreciate), pets, aircraft, Studebakers, edged stuff, woodworking, motorcycles, lions and tigers and bears, oh boy! . . man (or woman) does not live by Stewie alone.

Are we gonna hold a poll on whether or not beer recipes are allowed? Just have to ask since I take offense to such home brews like beer, crack, meth, G and a few others.

And the subject line of that thread probably indicated it was about home brewing. But if you started posting pictures of semi-naked women in any of the Vintage threads on S2Ki (even *with* the disclaimer of NSFW), your posts of said pictures would probably get edited or deleted.

Some of you still are completely missing the point of the survey, the request for a NSFW label, and request to minimize if not completely avoid the constant addition of pictures of women in various stages of undress (men, for that matter too -- I don't need to see some guy's protruding ******* either) into every thread completely disregarding the thread's initial subject matter.

Bogles my mind.

If the person posting it insists on posting that type of picture in *every* thread regardless of the subject matter of the thread, then I believe most people here would get pretty tired of it pretty quickly.

If someone were to post pictures of men in tight bikini bottoms, waxed up pecs, and something slimy and whitish looking dripped across their abdomens in *every* thread and tried to call it a "thread saver," yeah, I think there would be a lot of people here offended by it.

If that boggles your mind, try thinking about it with less of a misguided notion that this is a men's only site and that its purpose is to display erotic photos of women to replace the car-centric content that seems to be lacking.
