Newbie just saying Hi!!! Do you guys wave at other s2's?

Hey everyone, Just wanted to say hi and see when the next big get together would be. Any tech days comming up? Never really participated in any meets and wanted to try it out as it looks real fun. I'm getting old and have a 4 year old son so times always tight but if I'm available I'd love to meet up..

Also curious if you guys ever say whats up to other s2 drivers? Back in the day when I had a 280z and a supra everyone use to give a wave, thumbs up, peace sign but I never see it with the youger generation and newer rides.. Guess times are changing... Ahahah, I thought it was the coolest thing when my dad had a Trans am , and Mustang way back in the day...

Anyway, I hope some of you can help me get my ride restored and hopefully I enjoy the ride along the way. - Bryan

Hello and Welcome! For you SoCal folks, Stillen, located in Costa Mesa, is having an open house in May. Now it's mostly Nissan and Infiniti, but it's a great opportunity to meet fellow enthusiasts and tour their production facility. Wish Honda down in Torrance or a Honda tuner would do something similar.

Thanks guys.. Formerly Mira Mesa now in lakeside.. Ahaha, good to know I'll try throwing out a peace to some nice s2's and see what happens.
You guys know of any good fair priced paintless dent repair guys? I heard there's some that will knock all the dents and dings out for like $200.00 flat. My ride has so many dings that I'm starting to notice and it kinda bugs me.. Also wondering if any local guys want to swap some white 17" work vs-xx rims with new tires for some ap2 wheels or ap1's and some cash so I can fix a few other little things.
I actually use to have a g35 And met a couple guys. Fun cars but I have turned to roadsters. Recently gave up my greddy turbo'd miata and still going through boost withdrawl but the s2 really helps... I'll post some pics shortly..

Stillen's is a great facility to tour. So is Steve's brother's place, Rod Millen's (used to get my Miata mods done at Rod's). FYI, there is a Honda tuner place in Garden Grove that I'm going to today. I know they have open houses ever so often so I'll find out when they plan the next one.

Seems to me there is a place in Santa Barbara area (Goleta?) which does open houses a couple of times a year and they recently had a barbecue open house about a month ago or so. End of January I think. I saw the pics and it was one heck of a turn out.

I used SOS Dent (www.sosdent.com) in Santa Monica for some dings on my Yaris about 2 weeks ago. David Pelikan is the owner of the company and is, imo, a master craftsman. You can email him pictures of the dents and he can give you a rough estimate of the costs involved to fix them. I think he also has an associate based in San Diego county. Tell him you heard about him from me on the S2000 bulletin board. He is a great guy, excellent in his craft, and very honest.

But, um, no, it is unlikely you will get a $200 flat fee quote from him if you have dings on both sides of your car. He's damn good at what he does and so he charges what he is worth, but he's very, very fair. He threw in taking care of an extra ding or two for me for free.
