Talking s2k 1/4 mile

Hi guys took my s2k to drags an ran 14.9 which was my best. Was wondering what would be my real time at right altitude. I live in el Paso TX. At a altitude of 3,762 thanks in advance.
P.S. what does the k stand for on the s2k??

the k stands for thousand....

14.9 is a good time for a stock s2000 me thinks. I know that a couple of the magazines got around 14 flat but I think they also had a busted clutch afterward. I don't know if that little elevation has much of an affect, maybe a couple 10ths of a second.

High thirteens seems to be an excellent time, bone stock without dumping the clutch hard.
You do know this car wasn't designed for drag racing right? Having said that there are some seriously fast S2000's out there that do drag race, but they are far from stock!

An average driver should do 14.2 or so. I would think you should be able to run a similar time at your track. My guess is youre running a 2.3 -2.4 60 foot time or you shift like an old woman. I said OLD woman so dont get offended murph.

Power loss is around 3.5% per 1000 feet of elevation once you get above about 500 feet or so. So you're down about 11% on power (3.5 x ((3700 - 500)/1000)). Given that I'd say a 14.9 isn't too bad.

Yeah, better traction assuming it was dry.

Very tight, you should use a car performance simulator, they are so close (because 350z way heavier), that winner can be decided by drivers weight.
