That time of year...

Just finished packing Stewie up for the winter. Itís a sad time but since retiring this year I drove it more than ever. 66,000km on the clock and still my favorite Honda ever!

Did mine two weeks ago. Winter came early ... then after Stewie was tucked in for the winter nap, it got nice again. Didn't log as many miles as I had hoped to this year.

Huh? I just washed it, ready for the next top down fall weather drive. Last week did an nice drive in the Sierra Nevada to Volcano and Sutter Creek. Perfect!

The only downside of driving in the fall and winter in California is the new +16 cent a gallon tax increase. Most expensive in the nation because the tax and spend libs blew the earmarked road money on feel good social programs. Now that the roads have gone to hell, what to do about the money needed? RAISE TAXES again!

Too bad Stewie runs on premium gas. We’re at 99 cents a litre for regular and $1.20 for premium, it adds up.

California, land of tax and spend, just jacked up the tax on gas by 16 cents. Gas is some of the most expensive anyway because of "summer and winter blends" (no, it is not a Sam Adams beer) so-called special fuel that cannot be sold or imported from California. It is touted to make our skies soooo much cleaner. 8 out of 10 worst city's air quality in the USA are in California. Great. (Just like the billions spent on the war on poverty resulted in jacking up the poverty rate to the 49th of 50 states)

We spend so much money on environmental issues that provide no tangible benefit.

That's 12 cents a gallon more in California, let's not give them added incentive.

Did the math and our premium works our to $3.55 US per US gallon and that is at a cheap gas station.
