Did anyone here go Christmas shopping today?

I didn't dare. I had a prescription at the local Target that needed refilling today, so I had them fill it two days early (Wednesday) just so I wouldn't have to go there today.
I love the news coverage of all the mayhem that broke out at stores across the country.

Well, my day sort of went like this:

Got up early and checked the site then finished my coffee and went to a yoga class. Then off to a spinning class.

Went home showered, went over to my GF's house and then off to Lowes to pick out paint for our new home with her daughter.

We then went over to our new hacienda and hung some plants in our indoor green house. I will get pictures. You will not believe what we created!

Didn't run into any pepper spray at Lowes. Kinda calm?

Almost forgot, the GF had to get to Skechers and snagged a $100 Skecher trainer's? for 60 and go a second pair for $30. I pulled into the parking lot and the GF went into the store for about 15 mins and her daughter and I waited in the car.

Just didn't see much traffic at all and I was out and about a lot all day!

I had to run to sears to get a 6pt 14mm wrench to remove my drive axles. My 12pt wrench wasn't going to cut it with the torque required to remove the nuts. So ya, I was out there. But I was in and out fast and they had LOTS of checkers so there were no lines. I walked right up and paid and then left. I did also snag a Craftsman 8-mode digital volt meter for $11 in a bin beside the register. Too cheap to pass up!

Why? I go the two weeks after Xmas when all those maniacs who like to pepper-spray people are at home and just getting over their hangover.
Maybe with body armor, but that would be the only way.

I agree with Switch, You Gotta Be Kidding!!!! NO, I spent the holidays showing Stewie some TLC. I replaced the cabin air filter, engine air filter, changed the oil and oil filter, tidied up under the hood, washed and waxed her. She's BEEEEuatiful once again.

I went to Walmart late Thursday night and it was a nightmare. Never again. I figured how bad can it be? $28 xbox games is a great deal. After getting mobbed by 100+ people and seeing a pallet of xbox games explode, I will happily pay the full $60 next year.
