Ralper, you are an extremely nice person to offer that. You are going to be inundated with requests and you are going to wish you had not offered.

Alternatively, you could just post instructions for folks on how to download it to PDF (other formats) themselves.

Go to the google docs spreadsheet.
Click on File,
Download As >,
pick your poison (CSV, HTML, Text, Excel, OpenOffice, PDF...)
Follow the prompts to save the file to local computer.

If someone were to download it to CSV, Excel, or OpenOffice format, they could then sort the document any way they choose. I seem to recall someone asking for that ability somewhere at some point (here, or s2kca maybe) and really, this is the perfect answer for that request. They can just download it and sort to their little heart's content.

It's very cool of you to gather this info. Future generations of S2K owners will sing your praises and raise glasses in your name. Or maybe they will just be darn happy someone took the time. If you plan to be at Homecoming in September, may I buy you a beer (or wine, or softdrink of your preference) to express one S2000 owner's gratitude?

Thank you very much for those kind words. I'm glad you like the Registry and I hope everyone is enjoying it. Also, thank you for posting the instructions for downloading the Google-Docs sheet. It is a good alternative to the .pdf.

My offer still stands for anyone who wants a .pdf of the file. Send me your e-mail address via pm and I'll send you a .pdf of the Registry. I'm not too concerned about being inundated with requests. The last time I made the offer only one or two people responded.

Unfortunately, I'm not going to make it to the homecoming. I live on the other side of the country and it's just a bit too much of a trip for me at this time. I would appreciated it if you would mention the Registry to as many people as possible. We still have a long way to go, and the more people who know about this the better.

Thanks again for the kind words. I do hope you're enjoying the Registry as much as I'm enjoying doing it.

The separated by column isn't a measurement of how many times the car traded hands. It is a measurement of the number between that car's vin number and the vin number of the car before it within the same model year. So, for example if a car has (within a specific model year) vin #10 and the car before it has vin #1 the separated by column should show 9.
Sibling cars are represented by a separated by number of 1 and if the same car has two or more registered owners the separated by number should be 0 or -.

I hope that clears it up.

Its the separation in vin #'s I think. They're tryin to find any cars that were produced right after another one.

Wow. posted that up at the same time you did. hah

You are right, it is a bit redundant but it does make it easier for me to track the siblings and those cars which have changed hands. It gives me the ability to simply scan the listing for ones and zeros. On the official listing on my computer I have the cells formatted so that if a one appears the cell shows in a different color.

Once I put the column in, I just thought it would be a nice feature to include.

No, no. It didn't come off like that at all. It was a legitimate question and statement. I just wanted to clarify why it's like it is.

I'm actually glad to see that people are paying attention to the Registry. It makes me feel very good about it.

Thanks for participating and taking the time to ask about it.
