40 Years with Honda

Today marks a very special day for me, I've been with Honda for 40 years. I started with Honda at 18 as a lube tech, then on the parts, service and now as a fixed operations manager. My first Honda was a 1974 Civic and then a 1972 Honda N600, followed my Accords, Preludes and just about every other Honda ever made. I love the brand, love my S2000 and enjoy every day I come to work. Thanks to Honda for everything that it's given me and here's to 40 more years!

It seems that not many people can say what you have said. You are fortunate and congratulations. Enjoy every day!

Japanese corporate mindset is once you have your job its yours for life (America used to be like this about 100 years ago). Todays corporate America mindset ..."be grateful you have your job". Kind of pathetic I think. Congratulations by the way!

congrats. how many more years are you going to do? i got by with 25 but it wasn't my first J-O-B job--and i sure didn't love it; but, i do love my little Honda, as much as a man can love metal, rubber and glass.

At this point I can't even think of retiring. They had a huge BBQ here at work and Honda Canada came down and did a nice presentation.

Congrats, Wayne! I've been with Honda since 2003 and bought my first Honda (an Accord) in 1992. I've gone through a few Hondas and bought my S in 2009. Had it for 4 years until someone else coveted it more.

How did they do that? They must have had to tow it without the key. So sorry Glenn...
