Mid-Engine 350hp 2.0L? and 40mpg? That's cool!
$60k? That's not cool!

a new S in 2000 cost around $35,000. that is about $48,000 in 2014 dollars. decide for yourself if it is a bargain or not.

The maintenance guy here at school is a car freak and he mentioned this to me yesterday morning when he was cleaning the boards in my classroom. I agree with Switch, I'll believe it when I see it. 350hp...good, manual tranny...gotta have, 60K...I'll keep my Stewie.

In 2000 the S cost 30k, although my understanding is a lot of dealers were marking them up. 2014 dollars that's 41k

In 2009 the S cost 35k. in 2014 dollars that's 38k.

In either scenario, its somewhat irrelevant what the old one costs because this rumored version sounds very different, and will likely never be produced. Think we are all just having our chains yanked.

I take Automobile Magazine and they send out an online addition a couple time a month. Got one yesterday with the article about the possible S2000 replacement. No pics, just words, pretty much what has been mentioned here.

Believe it when I see it, too. Time for the new NSX to start showing it's face. Maybe the Honda division will get a cheaper version of the NSX without the hybrid stuff. Honda and secrecy go hand in glove.

Smile I'll Keep Mine - In my opinion it's already a classic!

My S is mine 4-ever. My kid is already in my will to get it when I go to the beyond. Numerous people have tried to buy it. The dealership tries to buy it back. People follow me into parking lots and ask me if I want to sell it. I tell them it's all mine!

Yeah, and 5 years post-production later most people still don't know what it is. "Yep, they don't make 'em anymore!" Rabbit missed the gun (or something like that )
