Honda will build a new NSX supercar Honda boss confirms two new sports cars. Almost..

‘We need a halo car,' Honda's design manager Yoshikazu Kigoshi told TopGear, ‘and this is a decision that's come from Ito-san down. A new S2000 is a difficult car for us to do, because of its front-engined, rear-drive platform. But we are definitely looking at the EV-ster and a new NSX.'

A new NSX will be cool, but it's going to be GTR/911 money. I'd much rather see a sports car that's attainable to us common folk. Forget a new S2000, it won't happen (that's why our car is so special). But, there are some nice pickin's out there in the market today...the 370Z, Mustang, and the Subaru thingamajig have some good appeal.

What ever happened to the VW Bluesport?

The BRZ looks cool. Toyota has ruined their FT-86 concept with the cuts and bumps and spoiler and hideous backend. The BRZ looks good, though. The S2000 still takes it on looks, but if I find the Suby with 300 bhp, nice torque, and good reviews, I'll have to consider it at least...

LOL! I'll believe it when I see it on a showroom floor.

False! I saw it in person, and it was gorgeous. It was the STI concept but I think its pretty close to production. The production model comes out at the tokyo auto show in a few days so we will see.

This car is the new S2000. Trust. Boxer engine mounted as low as possible. Supposed weight of 2500 lbs. Even if it only has 200hp it could probably hang with the S. Subaru execs confirmed that it was built with a convertible version in mind. If they can get 300hp in one this will be my next car.

Here are some bad camera phone pics to whet your appetite. The scion version is an earlier concept which is why it has more ridiculousness.

Yeah, I mean don't get me wrong it looks nice, but the S2000 is damn near perfect for me. It's so graceful and sleek. The BRZ is much more aggressive with the flared arches, factory splitter (good), enormous wing (bad), and rear diffuser (meh). I'm a stock guy and I usually don't like lowered springs, but the Toyota version needs a drop like hot potato. If the BRZ comes in with that SUV style wheel gap I'll have to knock it a few for needing aftermarket suspension.

I will admit that I have not seen it in person, and if I came across a nice red one in a showroom I'd probably start having some adulterous fantasies with it—but for now my love is still wholly with the S2000.

Obvsiously you cant say in front of your current girl that you think some other girl looks nice. They are still concepts. I doubt the production version (at least the one coming out this spring), will have any of that stuff you mentioned. It will be much sleeker looking. In person its less noticable than in the pictures. You really focus on the body sculpting.

Word is Toyota did the design and Subaru did the engineering. Sounds like a good combo to me.

EDIT: Pics and Info update. Here is the production version. 197hp (dissapointing). 7500 rpm redline. 2689 weight (not bad, but still). Looks like this version wont keep up with the S. WHEW, now I can wait for the Conv STI version!

Some good pics of the FRS BRZ and BRZ race car.

I refuse to go backwards on horsepower. It's the STI waiting game for me as well. And convertible, you say?! Whoahoa...!

I've heard over 120K, the last nsx was close to 100k when acura pulled the plug, but could be anyone's guess.

Assuming the new NSX doesnt cost more than the GT-R in about 6-10 years, then it could very well be my next car...
