Talking New owner 08 Rio Yellow Pearl

Hello fellow s2000 owners! On 08/15/15 I became the proud owner of a 08 rio yellow pearl S2k with 9500 miles, 1 owner!
The car I gave up to buy this beauty was a 08 Lexus IS-F that I owned for 4 years. I have ways wanted either an NSX or S2k and, well at the moment, the S is just easier and less expensive to buy. Especially a super clean one with low mileage.

I hope to learn a lot about the car here and also meet some owners as well in the future.
So I should probably have some service done. From the documentation I received with the car, it's pretty much been a couple of oil changes. What do you guys recommend? I figure all the fluids. And is there anything else I should look for?
One thing I noticed was that when the roof is closing it doesn't seem to go all the way. I keep pressing the toggle button to move it forward and then pull the handle to get the hooks in. Is there an adjustment or sensor that needs calibration?
Thanks in advance!

First pic me with the F and S! In the trunk was the boot cover for ragtop the manuals and brochures/ sales training book, window sticker and articles the previous owner saved. I really believe the owner did enjoy owning it, but didn't drive it. Lol

WICKED! You are going to love your S2000 and probably forget about an NSX. I'd do all of the fluids and an oil change with a Genuine Honda filter and synthetic oil. I'd have a brake service done and you should be good to go...congrats!

Great! Looks like mine only different! (I have an 09)
That is the absolute best color and it really will grow on you.

The roof elastic straps decay causing the top to not seat all the way down properly. Very common and we have a real easy fix. Modifry has easy to install, custom made straps:$20

Welcome! Where are you in the DMV? I'm in Alexandria. There is a Dragon event coming up 09/10 to 09/12 and a Gettysburg meet at the end of September. Stop by www.s2ki.com for details.

Thanks, not sure I'll totally forget about the NSX, but I do like the head room I have in the S. Going to take her in for service shortly, going to s local Honda shop the guy there is a NSX guru.

Thanks, I love the yellow! I also was told that if the roof is in the down position for extended time the fabric shrinks. It's when I bring it up to close, it just doesn't quite make it. The fix lock it down and spray it down a few times so it stretches out.

Thanks! The is-F was a heavy v8 beast that pulled like a freight train! its probably hard to believe, but I just got bored. The F wasn't my DD so it was the weekend and road trip car. I've never owned a manual shift car before and that was one of the many reasons I left the F. The paddle shift is fun at first, but I started feel I needed more driver involvement. Definitely looking forward to my time behind the wheel of the S.
If your looking for specific info on the F go head and ask me. Sorry I'm just not good with car reviews. There's also lots of info on Club Lexus.

I've driven a few Honda's with paddle shift and gave up after a few minutes...it's just not the same.
