Possible 2002 S2000 Purchase

Hi everyone! Ive always loved the S2000 and I have found one that is for sale in my town. I recently sold my Infiniti G37 and my girlfriend and I bought a car together because we live in Key West, FL which is a 2x4 mile island and we thought it would be easy to have just one car. Ive been looking around for something used, reliable, and fun for a second car. The car I found is a 2002 silver on red S2000 with 108,000 miles. It is being sold by the current owner who is a woman in her 50's so I doublt it was beat up. From the outside the car appears to have no scratches or dents and wheels dont have any curb rash. I spoke to the owner and she said that the tires, battery, and soft top were all replaced within the last 7 months. She said that the only issue is the wear on the seats which she admits is pretty bad. She is asking $13,000 which I believe is high for a 02 with that many miles. Ive seen others for sale online asking around$9000-$12000 depending on condition.

So with all this considered would you buy this car or look for something else?

Ya, that's way high for those miles and a bad seat. I'd keep looking. Here are pics of my '01 when it was for sale a year and half ago. You can see the seats are in awesome shape, the car is in really good condition(zero dents), and it had 30k miles on the clock. Only a few rock chips...notice the gravel driveway. Anyway, I paid less than your little old lady is asking. I think I got a smokin deal, but still. She's way overpriced.

You can put a brand new set of Corbeau A4 seats in red suede into the car for a budget of $1000. Just sayin!
