New member saying hi.

How's it going, everyone? Names Robert, I live in Dallas, and I'm a prospective S2000 owner. I've had my eyes on this car for some time now. I can't wait to get into it and really feel it.

After that, the skies the limit. I have plans. I suppose everyone says that, though.

Good to meet everyone.

Welcome. There are a number of S2k's for sale in the Dallas area. Check the for sale section at S2ki.com.

Welcome Robert!! Lots of good info around here. Use that search button and start researching. Any specific color in mind? AP1 or AP2?

welcome. Good luck on your search. Its worth it.

Gardi and Switch:

Your car signatures look very similar, but it must be cold and wet (snowing?) in PA and sunny in AZ.

COOL. we had a big storm last weekend. I heard there was snow in Tahoe already (bout an 90 minute drive from Sac).

Im excited to go skiing already lol. I bought snow tires for the WRX last year and didnt really get to use them, so it will be an adventure this year.

Thanks for the warm and inviting welcome, everyone!

I've browsed through some used S2k listings in the Dallas area... But none of the offerings are perfect, though that is to be expected.

I would prefer a cerulean color, or a blue/silver color, but that seems fairly rare.

I'm leaning toward AP1, I think some of the ancillary features on the AP2 might be nice and I like the body, but I like the look of the mechanics of the AP1 much more. That stuff is more important than color, body style, or extra options, anyway.

I currently drive an automatic Corolla (lol) but I'm in LOVE with its 4A-FE engine. I'm generally in love with four bangers all around. My hope is to continue driving the Corolla as the day driver and use the S2k as the fun car... and hopefully eventually a real amateur racing hobby car.

Either way, I've been pouring over different forums, Google searches, and everything else I can find looking into what can be done to the car, at what price points, and in what order the priorities should be.

This car is set to be a very long term hobby.

I do need to find a garage, though.
