softtop ebrake bypass ??

softtop ebrake bypass ??

Soo Im getting my s2k soon and my friend had one before and was telling me you need to pull the ebrake all the way up for it to let the top down or pull up does anyone know how to bypass it? Id really appreciate it thanks guys

You don't need to pull it all the way up, but there is a way to bypass the safety switch. If you spend about 5 minutes using the search function here, I think you'll find it.

There are two "safety" features you'll need to override to get what you're looking for here. One for the e-brake, the other being the vehicle speed sensor.

The VSS override is a single wire to cut in the passenger footwell (very easy). With that done, pulling the ebrake up one click will allow you to operate the while moving...hopefully very slowly. To override that, it's a bit more complicated (can't remember, but I haven't done it). The VSS override works well enough.
