I can remember a buddy of mine in maybe 1970 having a brand new little 600. Thought it was a just a really neat little car at the time.
Can't imagine how much time I have spent looking for a perfect 85 CRX I the last few years.

I saw another article on it. The first 200(?) were pre-production tests and where supposed to be crushed. Somehow some of them escaped the crusher and where sold on the grey market. This is one of the ones that should have been crushed, but wasn't so it's really amazing that #1 ever survived.

I used to own a 1972 Honda N600. I bought it after my 1974 Honda Civic was written off after an accident. Back in the day Honda brought us a couple with automatic transmissions to test that were crushed after we finished with them.

I was taking a look at this again and this N600 can't be the first Honda in America. It is most likely the first N600 sold in the US. Honda sold the S600 and S800 as early as 1965 and the N600 started in I believe 1970.

We all know that they were not very fast ... but ... a friend of mine who ran motorcycles in Bonneville (sp?) for a number of years told me that if you could source one out, the 600 could quite easily set a land speed record, in it's class of course. There used to be one in the small city that I live in back in the early '70s and the person who drove it is still around. I asked a couple of people about it, but appears to be long gone.
