Ok you guys might hate me but I have owned many mustangs in my life and one 69 gt350, ( this car truly changed my life . When sold it funded my move to Ca.). Loved some, liked them all. Even had a 95 as a committed track car(loved the car just wished I could get the thing to turn, darn understeer). Anyway I think the latest addition looks great and will make a great street car.

nothing wrong with Mustangs. java jack used to have one. great straight line cars. steve mcqueen drove the **** out of one in Bullit. only problem with 'em is that they, like the Camaro, are ubiquitous. at the time of java's demise he was pondering a Fox body.

Old post I know... but.
I had a couple of fox bodys but they wern't Fords. I did have seven Mustangs though. All 65 or66 and some very modifyed. Had a slamed 65 that got from downtown NYC to Beth's cafe in 67 hours in 1977. They were very adaptable and cheap at the time.
You have to pick your car for the venue. I also had in the stable a Thiumph Spitfire, Austin Healey 100-6 factoy aluminium boby, and an Alfo 6C coupe. The Mustangs were cheep and fun but guess what my track car was. Love you all ! Come on What was your car before you got your dream car ?

Wow, so I'm seeing posts from September 2014 talking about Java's demise. Has he really been gone that long?!

Mustangs sure have come a long way since then, right?

Yes, it is amazing he has been gone so long. Frankly, for me, there has been a lot of people, friends, family, and relatives, that have died in the last few years. I am shocked when I realize just how long some of them have been gone.
