Not my last run of the year! Pacific Coast HWY

The weather here in mid California is beautiful. Headed down for the long weekend to Monterey. Did the 17 mile drive through Pebble Beach. Drove down the Pacific Coast Hwy (1) to Moro Bay and back. Headed 1 through Santa Cruz, Half Moon Bay, Pacifica, and San Francisco. Crossed the Golden Gate (top down of course) and zipped through the wine country before heading home. Will be driving through the winter. No snow where I am going and no salt on the road either! Having problems uploading pics this time, only could get two.

Dang, man. That's kind of rubbing it in a little, eh?

Sounds like a beautiful drive though.

Nice route cosmo, noticed you do some flying. Corsair and AirBus? My brother was a AA pilot, now retired for seven years.

Did the Navy thing and flew A7E Corsair IIs out of NLC, Lemoore CA, and of course the Pacific and Indian Oceans on the USS Kitty Hawk. Instructed in Pensacola. Retired from the reserves as a CDR. Hired by Northwest Airlines in 86 which was acquired by Delta Airlines. Flew the B727 (and instructed again), DC-10, and A330. Still on that. Love the job, can't imagine doing anything else. Lots of crap and regulations to put up with but once you are in the cockpit it all fades away. Enjoy international but the time zone changes take their toll. A few more years to go and I will be hanging up the hat. The 'S' was an early retirement gift to myself. Could not wait, had to get a good one while the getting was good!!!
Managed to upload these pics, 747-400 I took over the Pacific, DC10 taking off, F/As after the merger, looking back on the wingtip of my 330 at San Francisco after takeoff for Tokyo, and another 330 shot.

That's the key, doing what you love.

The middle picture is my favorite BTW.
