2006 with 49,500 miles. I bought her 2 years ago with 41,500, but all my miles have been top-down miles!

I'm at a quandary? The door tags say 2003, but I have a 2.2 liter! My odo says 26xxx, but the motor is an ap2. When I purchased it the car fax said that it had 15,000 but after purchasing I discovered that the motor had been replaced with a 2.2. So I'm not really sure what I have?

Due to unmuligated ignorance I am left to wondering? This vehicle runs fabulously, but definitely is not stock! Again, the car fax comes up clean. Can we trust carfax when purchasing long distances?

I ordered a car check that gave this vehicle a cleaning bill of health prior to springing the deal!

Paid for a mechanic to check it out and gave a full sail ahead, but I am left wondering?

What are my options at this point?

You definetly have an AP1 chassis. Maybe previous owner blew the motor and replaced it with an AP2 motor (slightly more tourque). Pics of engine?

My odo says 26xxx, but the motor is an ap2. what's the ODO got to do with it? motor is an F22, chassis is an AP2 or an AP1.

When I purchased it the car fax said that it had 15,000 but after purchasing I discovered that the motor had been replaced with a 2.2. still not sure what the mileage has got to do with it being an F22. how do you know that it was replaced?

So I'm not really sure what I have? i would suggest that you have an AP1 with a replacement F22, or an AP2 with the factory F22. check the motor and chassis numbers. see if you get a match. see if the chassis is an AP1 or AP2.

Due to unmuligated ignorance I am left to wondering?

"I wonder, wonder who, oouu, who,
who wrote the book of love?

tell me, tell me, tell me:
oh? who wrote the book of love?"

This vehicle runs fabulously, but definitely is not stock! what makes you think that it is not stock?

Again, the car fax comes up clean. Can we trust carfax when purchasing long distances? car faux! caveat emptor, as always when buying a used car.

I ordered a car check that gave this vehicle a cleaning bill of health prior to springing the deal! cool. my dentist gave my teeth a cleaning bill of health just the other day!

Paid for a mechanic to check it out and gave a full sail ahead, but I am left wondering? runs fine? don't sweat it.

What are my options at this point? what is it that you want to do? i suggest you sell it. i offer $3.50.
btw: mid year 2003 S2000s were designated as AP2. i have a 1994 chevrolet truck manufactured in 1993. i have a 1999 camry manufactured in 1998.

'08 with 16.2k miles.

CC can you post some pictures of your car? Front, back, 9k redline or 8k redline on tac? Also the 4th, 5th and 6th characters of the vin will be AP1 or AP2.

Interesting............

Now I'm at 44K. Family matters made me rack up the miles. However, after that, I got a cheap daily driver.

bb, Glenn and kreapin, I totally forgot this thread and missed your posts. I confronted the seller and he said that he exchanged the motor. He said he wanted to race it and wanted the bigger engine? So yes, a Ap1 with Ap2 squirrels.

I'm in the process of having Puddydad make a set of 4.44 gears for me and I now have to figure out whether he replaced the tranny or kept it Ap1. Either checking the vin on the tranny or checkling bolt sizes on either end of differentials should tell the story. Ap1's were 6 mm Allen heads and ap2's were 8 mm.

Now to find me a lift! I am reall curious to see if the trany VIN matches the rest of the car!

bb, caveat emptor....... Ouch! Actually for what I paid, I am still very pleased, but you gotta come up a bit to at least $ 4.50!

I pulled this VIN off of the door frame: JHMAP11413T005510

I bought it new with 15 miles; now she is at 23,500 miles. Only out during warm, sunny days. Everyone says I need to drive her more but every trip is like a driving a new S. In my eyes you can't beat that.
