Just filled up the gas tank today and calculated my mileage. I am pleased and surprised to announce that it was 34.4 miles to the gallon. I doubled checked also, plus this is a Imperial gallon. More than half the tank was highway driving and the rest was around town. I have not checked the mileage for a couple of years. Sounds to good to be true. I will check the next fill up also.

In miles per US gallon that would be about 28.6 MPG, still impressive!

I hope my numbers are true.I got 540 kilometers to the tank and it took 44 liters to fill the tank.

Km divided by Lt X .621 X 4.54 = 34.6 miles per gallon
Don't forget the Canadian gallon is larger than the U.S. also.

The more I think about it these numbers could be off a mile or two per gallon.Maybe I stuffed the last tank and didn't put as much gas in this tank. I filled it but not entirely full full. So to speak

I always love the MPG threads.

I don't DD my car so it is different for me but I average about 20 MPG . To me getting 34 MPG in the S would be like jabbing a pen in my eye.
I can't imagine going that slow for that long in the S.

Congrats on the 34 MPG!

Sorry I just read that and it sounded bad, it wasn't meant to....sorry!

28 is pretty good. Cold starts are a real mpg killer. As are fat tires

I get 28mpg (Imperial gallon) or 10 litres per 100 kilometers (in Canadian). Never seen anything close to 34 mpg but your calculations are right. How do you drive?

I'm jealous I average 11-12L per 100km and get pretty much 420km to a tank give or take maybe 10km every tank.

This includes spirited and VERY spirited driving traffic and hwy.
