Anyone replace the cigarette lighter with a USB/Aux combo unit?

I am installing the USAspec bluetooth adapter, and want to replace the pointless cigarette power outlet with one of the integrated USB power jack and aux-in power units. I ordered one from Amazon, but alas, it is too big. Looks like it is 1" diameter, were the Japanese (and Euro I think) cars use a smaller 7/8" hole for the cigarette lighters/power outlets. I hate to drill into a completely nice center console to open up the hole to fit this unit. Anyone know of one out there that will fit our cars without modification?

Here is the one I ordered that is too big:

I just bought a Monster double USB lighter plug. Fits flush, gives you two USB ports and you still have the lighter socket if you need it for something.

^That would be the obvious solution, but I'm assuming the item shown connects into the head unit in order to give you the aux-in feature?

I googled around a bit, but everything seems to require a 1-inch hole or larger.
I'd say just drill it. This is definitely more useful than the lighter port, so it'll very likely be a permanent install.

Yes, with the USA-Spec bluetooth kit, I can have the BT feature, plus aux-in and a general USB charging port, so that is the route I am going. Looks like I will need to drill out the hole a bit to accent the 1" adapter.
