Stereo upgrade with iPhone integration and Steering wheel controls

So after tons of research, I finally made the leap and installed a Pioneer DEH-P9400BT and the Axxess Steering wheel controller ($69.95). It fits perfectly into the S2000 and has amazing utility. Here's a high level overview on my blog. http://thehuangs.com/?p=365

Also note that I installed the Modifry mount for the iPhone. It works really well. I used a holder from another iPhone windshield mount that I had lying around

Also, the Pioneer is available for an amazing price on Amazon! I saw it for $153.95. You won't find anything with anywhere near the feature set for this price!

You wasted a lot of time wiring that controller into the system that you could have saved by getting the Modifry Plug and Play harness. Not only do you NOT have to cut anything or solder anything, when the time comes to reinstall the OEM radio, you don't have to try to put it back together again. The Modifry plug and play adaptor plugs directly between the OEM plug and the new headunit. Two minutes and you have the new headunit ready to go.

Oh well, live and learn. It's not a big deal to put it back. It was only 2 wires I had to cut. It's odd that I actually knew about the Modifry unit.

I bought the Modifry mount for my iPhone a few weeks earlier. You can see it in the picture. I was just on the phone with Crutchfield when I ordered the stereo and since they had the controller, I was lazy and just ordered it too.

Yep, they are the only ones. I forgot the OP bought a Pioneer (I didn't know Matsushita still made car stereo). My faux pas.

It's really not hard to run the iPhone connector behind the radio door and out through the vent above the radio. My car is in storage but if I remember in March, I'll take a photo of it.

BTW, if you cut a properly sized wedge out of very high density black rubber and glue it to the back of the Modifry bracket so that it "wedges" against the dash, it will eliminate all of the shaking and shuddering. It works amazingly well.

+1 on the Modifry mount. Cleanest phone mount you can have in an S2000.
