Trunk Light Doesn't Work!

The trunk light in my AP1 does not work. The stock bulb would work randomly, so I bought and installed a new bulb, but the light still doesn't turn on when I open the trunk.

Note: when I first installed the new light, it turned on ... but since then, it never turns on when I open the trunk! None of the other lights in my car are having issues. I visually inspected the trunk light housing and it looks clean/no corrosion ...

Any help/advice???

For anyone with this problem in the future, if the above link does not solve your problem, try making sure the trunk light switch is working properly. On the S2000, the light switch is triggered within the locking mechanism, so make sure the circuit is being completed when you are unlocking the trunk. Take the black plastic cover off of the locking movement and visually inspect the internals of the latch as you lock/unlock the trunk with your key. Mine was getting stuck and not touching all the way, so I just played around with it to loosen it a bit. Might also be a good idea spray the connection with contact cleaner.

My trunk didn't close all the way but appeared to be closed. After a few days, dead battery.

If it isn't the wires, one of your relays might be out which requires you to do some investigation.

I had the same issue with mine where my trunk light AND keyless trunk lock weren't working and my wires were just fine.
