Mine isn't, but I covered it up with a Wet Okole...so my fat a$$ would not wear out the bolster.

I believe that would be the concenus here.
This is my second S, an '08 (first was an '05 and both bought new) and both have what you mentioned as "stiff" leather. Certainly not buttery soft Jaguar quality !

However, that being said, I've gotten good results using Meguiars aloe leather conditioner and a leather conditioner by Gliptone, (strange name and only found in NE). Both of which have added a softness to the leather that I'm satisfied with.

It's vinyl-coated leather, which makes sense being that it's a convertible.

For that reason, there's a good argument that we should actually use a vinyl protectant rather than leather products. Hmm.....

I don't think it's the leather that's too stiff, it's the seat padding that's firm. After all it's a sports car with a sport seat.

Yeah, the seat leather (the perforated part) is plenty soft. Its the sides that feel stiff. heh...stiff.

This is one of those situations where stiff for more than 4 hours is normal.

It is vinyl coated and 303(once again) gives it a nice finish while protecting it from the sun. I used Lexol on it before I did some research and it left a white residue in the perforations.

Sounds a lot like a sexual aid advertisement.
