FS: Supercharged S2000 420 WHP Cleveland, Ohio

Car is now located in Cleveland, Ohio and will remain there until it sells.

Going to sell the S2000, have a great career opportunity in LA. Starting a new chapter in my life and as much as it breaks my heart, I am selling my S2000. IMO it's not worth the effort and risk to try to keep this under the radar out there while becoming a new resident along with finding a place to keep 2 vehicles. I'll do my best to describe it and give you the history of the car.

I've owned it for 7 years now since it had ~38k miles. It now has ~74k miles on the body (clean title) and I put an '05 F22C engine with 10k miles on it about 3k miles ago (about 2 years ago) after the old engine was starved of oil. I've done all of the maintenance/mods myself (ASE certified with a BS in automotive engineering).

Here is what's currently included with the car:
- Vortech V-2 supercharger kit (kit itself has less than 15K miles on it)
- Upgraded ceramic bearings and seals in the Vortech
- Upgraded 928 Motorsports billet impeller on the Vortech (~20% more efficiency/flow)
- 3.55" Reichard Racing pulley installed (the absolute BEST pulleys for Vortechs). Makes ~17-18psi at 8200-8300 RPM
- 3.8" Vortech pulley (not installed
- 5.0" Vortech pulley (not installed)
- Upgraded black couplers/t-bolts on the kit
- Upgraded larger heat exchanger (just put it on 50 miles ago)
- Upgraded aftercooler water pump (just put on 50 miles ago)
- Gates supercharger belt (the best, only 50 miles)
- AEM series 2 EMS (400 miles old)
- ID2000 injectors (200 miles old)
- Aeromotive 340 fuel pump
- AEM FPR
- Fuel Labs fuel pressure gauge
- SOS 3 BAR MAP
- AEM IAT sensor
- AEM serial gauge
- AEM wideband
- Competition Ironman clutch (400 miles old)
- Offset woodruff cam adjustment keys
- SS brake lines
- SS clutch line
- Megan rear toe arms
- New OEM rotors (1000 miles old, non contact areas painted silver)
- Carbotech XP10 front track pads, XP8 rear pads (1000 miles old with ATE super blue fluid.)
- OEM pads (50 miles on them and not currently installed)
- Comptech reinforced differential housing (stock 4.10 gearing)
- KAAZ 1.5 way differential
- Alpine IDA-X305S head unit
- Alpine inline amp (yes, you can actually hear the radio with the top down!)
- Polk DXI-6500 component speakers
- '05 ignition with matching laser cut key
- Greddy Ti-C 70mm exhaust
- Invidia 70mm test pipe
- Bridgestone Potenza RE-11 255/40/17 R 225/45/17 F (1000 miles on them, got them last year)
- AP2 V1 rims
- AP2 steering wheel (nicer)
- LED lighting (dome, parking, reverse)
- Cleared corners/sidemarkers
- Modifry shift beeper
- Modifry DCI (keep dash radio controls)
- Moroso catch can (not installed)
- Battery only a few months old
- New rear calipers last year
- Calipers painted silver
- CF trunk
- Fresh A/C recharge with new receiver/dryer after engine install
- New OEM plastic rear window installed this winter
- Hardtop convertible top strikers (much better sealing/reduced wind noise)
- Euro spec alignment (more aggressive than US spec)

Other things I feel worth mentioning are that the paint, although it does have a few very minor dings, is in fantastic condition. Car has been garage kept since I've owned it, not driven in the winter (I did drive it one winter in Cleveland). I just hit it with the Porter Cable yesterday and have always used Zaino detailing products. The car currently has a fresh oil change of Mobil 1 racing oil ($100/6 quarts!), Motul differential fluid, and Honda MTF fluids. I do have a bunch of extra fluids that would go with the car. The front bumper does have one of the faux air vents cut out (previous owner had done it), cut out the other and make some useful brake ducting! Glovebox has a crack where it mounts, still works fine and you can't see it unless you upen the glovebox. The trunk has also been stripped (no carpet). I do have the spare tire but it isn't in the car. I've street tuned the car to an extent but can only do so much safely without a dyno, I will be hitting the dyno within a week or two to tune it myself (certified tuner) and am expecting it to put down ~460-500whp. It will be tuned on E85 but I feel the car should be alright on pump 93 at these boost levels, if you don't feel comfortable with that, just toss the 3.8" pulley on, tune, and go!

I'd like to get in the ballpark if $18,000 but will entertain offers. I'm not too open to trades but will listen to what you've got. I'm located in Big Rapids, MI and am willing to drive a little distance.

This is all I can think of from the top of my head. I will update as I remember forgotten mods/other considerations. I have a ton of pictures of the car and if you would like, call or email me at 440.281.3199 or [email protected] for more details/pictures.

Hey CG did you even ask the DMV if you can take it to a Smog referee and see if it will pass? Or find a shady smog shop, LOL!

One of my favorite builds - I think you should find the ways to keep it. The S was made for CA. Very eager to see numbers. Good luck!

Dyno footage, only hit 15psi on the dyno. Mind you this was also a Mustang dyno (reads a good amount lower than others). Will take $17,000!

I would buy it in a hearbeat...but I am afraid my wife would freak.
This car is not only very well thought out, but put together by an extremely knowledgable builder. $17K is a freaking steal...whoever gets it better drive it away quickly.

hi there!

hey carguy,

Just read your fs 2000. I must say you put a lot of work into this from reading all the installations that you have done to the car. And there has been alot of love put into it. Honestly i would buy the car from you for 16500$ but i only have 14k at the moment. I aint putting a offer on the table but if your willing to wait 2 months(end of july) it will be bought no questions asked. Thx for posting such a great deal Ill just pray that this is still here in 2 months. Anyways take care!

ps. This is one those rare finds for a great deal . And you really did make a great deal go out there thx for posting

Thanks, I am taking a nice loss on it but that's what happens when you modify a car to your own taste. The car is currently pending sale for a loan to go through.
