Question Stuck between CompTech and SOS

I am in the market for a supercharger. I have two friends local with CompTech, one on an S2K another on a different car. They both swear by them and love them. I am also looking at SOS, see what they have for and I read on from owners who like them as well. I found this CompTech kit online vs going new from SOS. Inputs? On price and kit

I have dealt with both, have had 3 different SC setups and it is really 6 in one hand and half a dozen in the other. They both have excellent customer service and stand behind their products.
If you do not have experience in the boosted area...I would stay away from a used kit...gotta know what to look for and the right questions to ask.

Ditto.............Ditto...............Ditto....... .....well, you know.

I am bald from pulling my hair out after helping three local guys who bought used SC kits. It had nothing to do with Comptech. It had all to do with what was broken or damaged because of the way that the kit was removed or installed in the first place.

Personally, I've had three Comptech kits and liked each one. Presently have a new SOS kit that I installed after a Hondata KPro ecu conversion. I like it a lot. I'm getting 381whp and 225 ft-lbs at 8,500 rpm (I did not want to go to 9,000 rpm for reason of risk comfort.) on a 3.8" pulley. I have a 3.6" pulley to install and retune in the spring.

Yeah, I kind of found out the hard way to an extent...not too bad, but I have heard and seen horror stories.

Very good numbers on the SOS kit, did you get the 1220 or the 1200?

I got the 1200. Actually, I'm quoting the numbers that King Motorsports posted on their blog about my car. The problem is that dyno chart is the penultimate dyno chart. The final dyno tune by Tim Martin was was 386.25whp and 239 ft-lbs at 8,500. I don't know why they did not post the last but it's not my blog.
