Wired everything up and went for a little cruise on its first tank of E85 tweaking the base map and breaking in the clutch. Boost comes on a LOT faster (~8psi @4500 RPM)! Still no WOT though, need to rent a dyno so I can tune it.

Hey CarGuy,

Sounds good. I kind of want to modify my subaru to use E85. Some pretty crazy power numbers for how little modifications and I have been noticing a lot of stations around here have it.

Couldn't get past 14psi last night, gapped the plugs down and was able to do this today:

18psi @ 8300 RPM and still a bit of tweaking left to do.

How the heck do you get that much boost with that pulley? Got to be the trim?

It's an S trim V-2, I've put ceramic bearings in and replaced the stock impeller with the 928 Motorsports billet impeller. The impeller itself flows ~15% more air across all RPM.

Quick clip from the rear while driving around getting some logs.
First is a 2nd-4th pull, second is 1st-3rd.
Don't mind the long shifts, clutch isn't fully broken in yet and I'm trying to take it easy on it.

Nice work. You could eat off that engine. Course it might taste a tad slick.

Did some under the hood detailing today and I should have access to a much better camera within the next week. I think it will look better once I get a black valve cover (flat wrinkle just like the OEM finish) and plumb up my crankcase ventilation system. I also might need some ID 2000 injectors after some further street tuning revealed I'm pretty close to the limit of the 1000s. I'll have to bump up the fuel pressure and go do some more logging.

Managed to make it to the strip today. Car still un-tuned to its full potential (about 75-100hp lower than its potential) and has a 4.77 diff and therefore I am using all 6 gears. Belt was slipping and only making 14ish psi (as opposed to 18 ). I also wasn't launching, made it into the 12's and trapped 115 considering all of the above. Oh, and it was a 2.1 60' with RE-11s at full street pressure (32psi).

Nice runs... not sure but it looks like an old Mercury Montego? He must have seen your run prior and was a little nervous.

Back under the knife for a larger heat exchanger, gates belt (made for semi trucks), larger water pump, Comptech reinforced 4.10 diff, AEM IAT sensor to be mounted in the aftercooler, new crankcase ventilation system, removed all of the EVAP stuff (~20 lbs, none of it works with the AEM EMS anyway) and likely some diff mounts.

OK, somebody stop this guy before he creates 9 second S!
Interested to know how the belt works...looking at switching my pulley to a Reichard pulley, hoping to eliminate the slip.

What injectors?

They are ID2000 injectors.

Back to 4.10 gearing with Comptech reinforced housing and a Kaaz 1.5 way LSD.

Have been busy lately but finally solid mounted the heat exchanger today/plumbed it/filled it up and put the diff in last week. Just need to tune it! Should have time to do it in a week or two.

It's just a air to water heat exchanger, not a FMIC. It's from eBay, essentially the same thing (pretty darn close) as the SOS one but far cheaper.

Yes, not worth the hassle or risk of keeping this "under the radar" out there.

On the bright side, would likely pick up a CR within a year of the move.
