What’s wrong with my top?

I replaced the top on my S2000 about 5 or 6 years ago with an OEM top. It was done at my dealership and turned out great. But...over the last year or so it has gone all “weird” where it folds and it drives me crazy. Has anyone else seen this?

Try treating it with Ragtopp.

To be honest this starting happening after I used RagTopp. It looks like the texture is coming off or something...

I had mine re-dyed. Maybe try that.

Same thing is happening to mine, in about the same time frame as well. I had the top replaced under warranty due to the sharp frame defect, but the 2nd top never seemed to be the same quality as the original.
I use 303 about once a month through the hot summer, but 9 months a year gets no treatment.

When the time comes, I'll probably replace it with a fabric top. Hopefully I'll own a house with a garage by then!

Same. What a shame that the second top is inferior material. I ordered a product from Forever Black called Black Top Gel that is supposed to dye vinyl black again. Has anyone used this?

I did the Forever Black treatment and I have to say I’m impressed. I watched their YouTube video and it is super easy to do. Those white marks are gone and the top is a nice deep matt Black. Easy clean up and after the recommended two coats I’ve got enough to do it again if needed. The test will be if it stands up to folding the top and to washing.

I washed the car and the top still looks great. Two thumbs up for this product!

Looks good. I'm sure you know that it's not recommended to lower a wet top, right?
