water in my trunk :( soft top possibly?

So I live in Washington, and it rains alot. I went out to grab something from my trunk and noticed a little bit of mold, and sure enough theres a puddle of water. Is it the softtop leaking you think? I cant seem to fine where water is coming from, maybe its time for a hardtop...?

Trunk seal? Tail light seals? Maybe drain tubes for the top?

I had a trunk seal problem after it was removed by a body shop for some cosmetic repair. I found in the service manual that you can adjust the trunk lid front to rear and side to side by loosening/tightening the four bolts on the trunk lid hing arms. You can also adjust the height of the closure by adjusting the screws in the rubber cushions and lowering the the striker bar held by two 6 mm bolts.

I took it to one of those high power brush-less car washes. After running it through, I could see that the water had accumulated inside the seal on the right. I did not have to adjust the striker because adjusting the cushion alone fixed the problem.

Good luck.

yes, it is a bad thing. any time a seal is compromised it is not good. get your leakage fixed and dry out your trunk and all will be well. keep an eyeball on it for a while.

So as I started to take off the clips to remove my bumper I noticed some water leaking out of this little seal, I put some sealant on it and its good to go!
