A Video of SoftTopGuy Top install.. (NYC trip)

Hey Guys,

Thought I would share this with you guys. I just stumbled across it, one of my customers did a little video of a top install I performed for him. This is one of the 8 cars I did on my New York City trip. Hope you guys enjoy it, it's nothing much.

Get a group together in your area. I'll fly out there for a weekend.

Iosh, you could probably put something like that together but it would take a lot of prep work. You would have to cross-post on s2ki and s2kca (I think all the LA area s2kca people are dead) but you could get a group of people together who need new tops installed and set up a weekend install day somewhere. And you would have to come up with a good place for the work to be done.

Downside is that if there is *any* need for any follow up for any reason at all on one of the installs (stuff happens, you know?) it would be very difficult to arrange for SoftTopGuy to return to handle it.

Looking at the wear I'm seeing on my top, I may be looking at replacing in about a year or so, but it's definitely not done yet.

If anything were to happen lets say a manufactures defect. We'll cover half of the traveling fees to come back out. Labor and Parts will be taken care of by the manufacture. This has only happen once to one of my customers.

I looked at the install instructions quite some time ago and it seems that they wanted me to remove practically the whole interior! I definitely remember the seats and center console having to come out. Apparently you get away without doing all that stuff. Nice.

I really need to replace my top. If you set something up out here on the left coast I would definitely be in. If you can't make it....well, maybe I'll give it a try anyway. I'll tell you, there is no way I'm paying the crooks out here >$2k to replace it.
