I've never seen a red top on a s2000 in general before. If you do it take some pics, I'd want to see how it comes out.

While I have not seen one I would think that the Burgundy would look super, I know Robbins makes a great top as I have one but it is Black ( not my choice ) I would have put a Blue on....

Sounds cool. Definitely go for it if you think you'll like it. A red soft top is something you don't see every day, on any car.

Be sure to post some pics.

Better keep a UV protectant on that red top or you will have an even rarer S2000 with a pink top!

hello... thanks for the feedback... I did some research and finally got my samples from the convertible company. I'm debating if I should go burgundy which comes close to my interior... OR go with the bright red and change out my interior red to match with it later. The bright red is more sportier with white. And the burgundy is a little less sporty. I've also did some photoshop work.. one for the burgundy and one for the "logo red". Any suggestions or input? Thank you so much for the help.

Can't go wrong with either...but if you ask me, I'd go with the lighter red.

And yes, keep a healthy coating of 303 on it to avoid the Pink Lady look ;(

Would look a ton better if the black tape around the winsheild was red too. That's why S2000s all have that black tape. Cause it looks nice and matches with the color of the stock top.

I think that you need the advice of someone with an artistic background. I don't think that either one is close to the OEM red; especially the burgundy.

I have a friend who is an art designer for a major display company. I always take my ideas to him for a sounding out.

How about getting a black top and replacing all of the red interior parts with black?

I like the darker red.

Photoshop will only let you down in this category. Go to a fabric shop and pick-up the same color as your splotch. Drape over top to evaluate. That's what I did w/ my gray EZ-ON top material.

GL and keep us updated!

I've had a Robins burgundy top on a MY'01 spa yellow S2000 for one year now with liberal use of 303 protectant it shows no sign of fading. It is showing white streaks along pressure points from the underneath structural members and a dirty discoloration around the rear along the drip rail. The latter is very hard to clean because the fabric is tight in this area. I am very satisfied with the top in general, however any color other than black is going to show dirt. Fact of life.

I'm sorry but this requires immediate pictures...if not sooner.

That was called the "Candy Corn" paint scheme in the S2000 brochure.

You're right, Doug3, "candy corn" option describes it well.

The only way i would ever put any color other than black as a soft top, is if i had something else on the car that would complement the color of the top.. IMHO i think it looks like ***.. Then again i am not an artistic person and know nothing about art, when it comes to colors atleast.

Hey, this thread is a year old and I just saw a video on Facebook of a white S2000 with a red top (so I googled it and ended up here).

Was that your car in the video? Do you have pictures?

I personally think the burgandy top looks better with the white.
As for the yellow one with burgandy, that's a brave move !
