A wee bit of understatement that could be applied to this as well . Always wet the car starting from the top and use lots of water and not a lot of pressure. Once the car is totally wet, use a soap made for car washing. I use Zaino car wash. Always soap from the top down. That'll get you started...

I have found it best to just tell my wife that the car needs to be washed before we can go for a drive.
Works every time.

Take your time top to bottom and wash it really really well. Catch every little speck then wax like crazy and you're good to go. Spray wax every wash after that and you shouldn't have any problem with dirt it'll come right off which will cut down future wash/wax time. This way you will only need a wax a couple times a year (normally schedule it with changing seasons). If you drive it often or it's frequently exposed to the elements wax a little more frequent. Run your fingernails lightly across the hood, if it feels grungy, wax it. Zaino= amazing

agreed.....why wax it at all, if you're gonna cut it down with clay every time you wash it?

Not even a month only been washed twice since I haven't been able to drive it. I really only clay bar it if I feel the road grime and tree sap on the vehicles but 9/10 times it has it on there. Bit I always did it on the integra and haven't seen a problem
