Cr replica

Hi, i'm currently looking for a cr replica spoiler for my 02 sebring silver. I'm interested in the one seibon makes, but some opinions would be helpful. Btw, i plan on painting it. Thanks!

Seibon makes a nice one, Mugen makes on too but even more than the CR probably, Seibon is a little smaller I think than the CR but IMO i like it better

Seibon is mullti-directional blown fiberglass with a carbon pattern painted on it. I should cost no more than an FRP part. And an oem FRP part will fit perfectly, Seibon ?

well..
The "carbon fiber" material is just a piece of cloth. You can't make any shape out of it without some kind of support. We use fiberglass backing to construct the skeleton.
basically its just a fiberglass part with a layer of carbon fiber on top.

T6 its still pointless to have the carbon fiber on top... just adds more weight. It either needs to be fully carbon or fiberglass. Just mho

and dont give me beef around making shapes with carbon fiber I refer you to ferrari konisegg <-- whatever or the new Mclaren

I think hes getting it for looks, he said hes painting it anyways lol. A lot more parts than you think are not full carbon. Pretty sure alot of seibons hoods are not 100% carbon but they charge carbon prices.

I wouldnt be ashamed to sport a fiberglass wing... or anything (with in reason) as long as it doesnt try to be something its not. Replicas I dont really care about. Replicate a carbon fiber wing? Thats fine if its not carbon fiber dont try to make it look like it is. You just look like an idiot when someone asks... Dude is that a carbon wing? Naw man its paint... nuff said

I have the seibon cr wing.... It is the exact same dimensions as the stock cr wing only lighter. I know this because my friend has a 08 cr and we took his wing off to compare it to the seibon. The replica evens bolts up the same, I made a template off my friend's cr trunk to drill the holes for my trunk.

Its kinda the same as putting an exhaust on the car, doesnt do much at all but makes it sound like the race car its not. Im not trying to argue just throwing that out there.

I don't care if it's made from carbon fiber, or titanium-reinforced platinum. You'll never see me driving with one of those things on my car!

Naw JDM if I wanted a race exhaust or race car I would go all the way. I have a louder exhaust on the simple foundation that I wanted to hear my exhaust. I am not so diluted into thinking that its a race car... and its not fake. Like I said I dont care about fiberglass or carbon... but it needs to pick one or the other. I mean if I had a stainless steel exhaust but had Titanium stamped on the side then its all a joke.

But I will go on the idea that we are trying to make a race car. I dont find that to be a bad issue really. Its the mind behind it that I would be concerned with. Its the guy with the fake carbon zip tied body kit and 19inch rims with H rated speed tires. With light bulbs burnt out and paint miss matching that comes to me like he is Michael Schumacher. Then I get your point. I know what I have I know its not a race car nor am I trying to make one. Will I add a wing? Maybe... will it do much? Most likely not... but atleast I know that.

Real dry carbon is formed over a mold and then autoclaved (heated under pressure) Like my Mugen carbon airbox.

I will post some pics tomorrow when the sun is out.... and actually the wing makes a big difference on the highway. I have pretty bald tires on my car right now and before the wing was on it was just spin the tires (I have a turbo BTW) but now with the wing, it actually grips with the same tires...
