Exhaust Valve Question

Well, my S finally wonít pass smog in California. Ď01 with 195 k on the odo. Just did a valve adjustment and had 3 tight exhausts. I just did it 2 weeks ago too. Been throwing multiple misfire CELs and random P0410 codes.
My question is this: why would one exhaust valve retainer be higher than the other one? The cam lobes on #2 were at 10 and 2 oíclock and the front exhaust valve was a bitch to get the feeler gauge in even when I backed the screw all the way out. Once in I was fine. The front retainer is almost 1/4Ē higher than the rear one. I took a pic but you canít really tell the height difference from it. All the other valves were level when I was adjusting them.
Doing a compression and leak down test later today.
Any thoughts besides a completely roached exhaust valve?

So my compression test came out like this:
40 cylinder 1
120 cylinder 2
0 cylinder 3
40 cylinder 4
Makes no sense as the engine was hot and still hauls ***
Runs great though but some popping at idle.

Quick answer. Go to S2KI.com, Send a PM to Billman, with the results. Ask his opinion. Unfortunately you are not going to get the answer here because the pool of knowledge here isn't that technical. Billman is a S2000 guru.
