good performance mods for under $1000

hey guys, new to this forum, so i just bought a s2000 couple weeks ago, and im ready to start slapping on some performance mods, ive done some research and i think my first buy will be a injen cold air intake, i want the car to look neat and not to loud when cruising so not interested in a exhaust atm, but im sorta stuck from what mod to get after, looking for something under $1000 and reasonable performance upgrade. cheers

An intake will sound cool, but thats about it... Change the fluids, check the tires, train the driver.

Cams are best with other mods... ITBs look sick but imagine all the hot air theyre sucking in. Buy some apple stock (maybe 2) and ride it out... But in all seriousness, you want the sound of an intake? Take the top of the box off but beware the powerloss in the mid upper range. Put your coin away and save for some FI goodness whether its super or turbo.

Not offhand, thats a large distance to travel anyhow and would almost defeat the purpose of the ITB. I know about not wanting to go FI but after having the car for a year now, I kinda want more. The car is perfect no matter what you do. But Im honestly happy with my Type 1 Racing dual sparrow 70em... looks clean, simple, good tone and ready if the FI bug actually bites...

Your next mod should be the Hondata Flashpro, excellent performance under $1,000.

Nothing noticeable for under $1000. If you want to tinker and tune with a programmable ems... you may get something, but do you really think Honda missed much?

i love the performance the car has now, its just the low and mid range seems to lack too much to me, so far on my mod list ive got cold air intake, cams, ecu, and i'll see how i go from there not looking for crazy increases in low and mid, but better then what i have now
