Bypass Control Solenoid Breather Missing

Somehow someway the little breather ontop of the bypass control solenoid (we'll say BCS..) is missing. Idk how big of issue this is considering its just a small peice of plastic, but just for the time being I tied a paper towel with a zip tie where the breather is suppose to be. Ill post pics so everyone can laugh at me later. Anyways heres a diagram of the part, if anyone has any input on ways to rig it up let me know. I would normally spend the 100$ on the sensor but Its just the breather and kinda a waste if you ask me.

#2, again this is not a major issue, just a dinky little plastic peice. Should I replace it or just rig a breather from like autozone?

JDM for the win.

i am laughing. which part are you referring to? either a number or put an arrow on the diagram. i am too lazy to go pop the hood to look. i think you are probably ok with a paper towel for now, but do get a permanent fix.

could this possibly be from an early model S2000?

Number 2 on the diagram. Its mounted to the airbox. Its for a 2001. Think a small ccv breather will do the trick or is it that sensitive? Doubt it due to I was driving without anything for a while and no cel. Just want more input. Im not even completely sure what its purpose is

brandon,

Your best bet is finding a used one, check the classifieds on S2KI. Or check with the Houston members on that same site for a used bypass.
A new one is pricey and the final option short of going with a CAI of some sort.
