transmission leaking oil

hello,

had a problem with my transmission before as discussed here before,

https://www.s2000.com/forums/engine-...too-loose.html

got that fixed!

i was really happy with my car but last night with the top down i noticed a smell of burning oil, taught it must have been tranny oil drops when i had it remove before ,on the exhaust or some thing, but there were new grinding noise also noticeable at about 3 to 5k RPM.

in the morning i noticed there was a lot of oil under the car( around 1/2 a liter or so) ,and where the shaft fits the gearbox, the exhaust and the rear Differential.

what could cause the leak? is it a seal or some thing? or the gear box guy didnt seal the gear properly? if yes what seal do i need to get rid of the leakage?

i didnt drive the car much after i heard the grinding noises, will those noises go away when i put back the new transmission oil?

this s2000 transmission is getting to be a BIG PAIN IN THE A$$$$$$$.....

please help me out as u all have in the past...

thanks

osman

You might have your gear guy check the install and bearings on that aftermarket secondary shaft, while you are doing this.

found the problem!
it was a loose nut on the case from which the oil was coming out of....

it was a case of not rechecking
