Sad day *PICS*

It was a good weekend to start out then turned bad in seconds. Went out to Ft. Lauderdale and had some drinks, talk to some girls. Then we went to Scarllets(best strip joint ever) had a good time. Left at 6am and was driving home when someone cut me off into a big ditch. I missed a huge barrier by a yard. Went airborne(dont know how the car didnt flip)The cars not too messed up. ill post some pics tomorrow.

No. Not totaled but the thought did cross my mind bc the car is blue booked 9-12k but i cant imagine there is that much damage. Guess ill see tomorrow.
Another thing is. i have skunk2 springs. Will the insurance company pay to replace aftermarket parts or do they get stock parts and tell you your **** out of luck?

Man that sucks!! Sorry to hear. They would possibly replace them if you reported them as an aftermarket upgrade (like they do aftermarket rims). If you did that then you have a 50/50 shot. If not then you are SOL...

Sil, don't mistake this fer preachin', itt jus' izz whudd'itt izz.
But regardin' yer comment "cant say that i was completly sober but def not drunk" : either you're sober'r yer nott buddy.
Jus' 'cause yer not fallin' down don't mean yuh should be at the controlz'uv any heavy, mechanized hunk'a metal.
Itt'z called "impaired", n' you'll see it used'ta fill in the "reason" boxez on'a whole bunch'a formz used when they're tryin'a pry open'a folded, bent, spindled'n mutilated mass'a metal whut use'ta be a car'n figure out which massez'a guava-jelly make up which body.

Actually, it really wasn't'a sad day add'all.
Considerin' how it could'a gone . . . yer one lucky fella.

I will second that Java, one lucky fella indeed. Sometimes it doesn't actually hit home until you see you car the following day.........That's when I realised how lucky I was after a freeway accident many years ago.

I got cut off a few weeks ago at 75 mph. Dude must have been on his cell. He didn't hear my horn blaring as he drove me onto the inside shoulder. I think I'm gonna get one of those super loud Italian air horns.
Sucks to hear that you went off the road but glad you're still around to tell about it.

Lightbulb

Java said it all, man. After who knows how many times in medium triple digits on two wheelers and crunching up some fiberglas in my long long ago youth, then reviewing the next day where it happened, I was very fortunate to be here today adding my 2c. Back then I "wasn't completely sober" either.

Some lessons are easier than others.

if you have a good insurance adjuster and they dont try to dick you around, you can get a check cut for the cost of repairs including OEM parts... oem springs and struts from majestic honda would run you $1644 + shipping. if you can get them to count the struts as blown then you'll have enough for coilovers.

Can't be on top of your game when being out all night. Sure you didn't just nod off at the wheel a little?
