Mercedes SLK or SLC

Just got back from Florida and saw a lot of Mercedes SLK and SLCs. What’s everyone’s opinion of them?

Nice cars but I don't think I'd own one.

Hahahahaha! You’re just being nice! My wife was thinking about one for her but I’m afraid of repairs after owning only super reliable Hondas.

While on the topic of Mercedes-Benz, has anyone taken a look at the AMG E63 S Wagon....and noticed how absolutely insane it is???
With a claimed 0-60 time of just 3.4 seconds, it's one of the absolute quickest cars they build...and it's a station wagon!
At $106,000 bucks to start, it almost seems like a bargain.

Exactly my concerns with all German vehicles. Very nice, well made cars but insane repair costs.

We had a CTS-V wagon stick shift traded in at the dealership I work at a couple weeks ago. That was pretty cool!

Oh, you mean "sick"...as in some good word that describes something else (e.g. see "shade") being corrupted to something that has absolutely no remote similarity to the original meaning.

C, eh, N, eh, D, eh.

Those German cars are made to be serviced at a dealer; it can be tough to do anything on them yourself.

Be happy they don’t have the $21K tag for an oil change for a Bugatti that requires a near disassembly of the car to do just that.

Can you imagine? I always tell people the maintenance on the S2000 is just like any other Honda but the tires are a bit more expensive.

$21,000 bucks......I didn't fully believe that until I read the story. So it takes hours of labor, and requires access to 16 different drain plugs!

We all know the money is no issue to a Bugatti owner, but these cars are supposed to be triumphs of engineering acuity. Their performance shows they truly are.....but are they really???

Morning...I’m going to post my S2000 for sale to test the waters so don’t be surprised. My wife has RA and has a hard time walking, let alone trying to drive a standard. If I sell I want to buy her a convertible that she can drive and enjoy. We’ll see how it goes.
