I just got back from the track and what a day, the weather was perfect 55 in the morning and 80 in the afternoon. But come to find out that the day before alot of oil and coolant was dropped by cars and sooked into the track so REAL tricky. My first session second lap coming out of turn 9 I started to slide out and I hung the lert rear tire out in the dirt, that kicked the back out a little but was able to recover. My friend Chris wasn't so lucky he was coming thru turn 2 and hung his right front tire off track and flipped the car on the passenger side. He was OK but I'm sure he will feel it tommorrow. Anyway best time was 1:30 and I did 1:54 mind you I had street tires. Got some pics to post too.

Glad you made it back OK. Good job. How was Chris' car? Was it drivable?

Well Phil with the spare and a bent wheel he was going to try and drive it home. The passenger side was damaged but we couldn't tell if the suspension was messed up.

That's one thing scary about driving your car to the track. It's a long taxi ride from there, not to mention the towing fee.

Hey Chaz! I seem to recall reading somewhere they were having another one of these on Nov 7 (tomorrow) at Streets of Willow. Are you going again?

I am not figuring to track my car (leastwise not this weekend, that's for sure), but I was considering making the drive out just to see what this challenge stuff is all about. I gotta be back on the westside in time for a dinner thing with friends at 6pm Saturday (I'm doing the cooking so I guess I have to be there), but I was thinking a day trip out to Lancaster could be interesting. (she says, somewhat TIC)

Anyone going?

Well RMurphy it is today the last S2K challange on the streets of willow. I'm not going because of some issues with the car. I hope next year they do it again. We will keep everyone informed of future events. Venza(Vinny) has set some track days upcoming to watch.

Watch out for that hanging transponder!!! It's pretty pricey to replace. Better find a new place for it.

Have fun at the track. Our track here is too cold to have fun. We have to wait til next year.

I'll give you a pass just this once that you didn't beat my 1:53 in your car due to track conditions.
