Stewie vs. Civil SI (Newer)

Has anyone raced one of those? I think they're slow. I was out crusing and one blew past me. I started chasing, but I was blocked by a G35. He let off, and I got up next to him. I tried to get him to push it, but no luck. Finally, as we were appoaching the red light, it turned yellow and no one was blocking. I heard him downshift and so did I! I wasn't even in the right gear and he couldn't pass me. So I let off, thinking it wasn't worth it, and pulled into a gas station. I was 1 or 2 bars from empty.

I have it on video too. I'll upload it when I get a chance.

Are you talking about the FG2 civic si? My friend has one and when I was stock and he was we had some fun runs. From a dig, RWD FTW easily. From a roll, we started with me out of vtec(I was at about 5k) we were even, then when my "vtec just kicked in yo!" I pulled pretty good. He shut down early when I got a car on him cause he knew it was over.

The KPro reflash for them help out. Its like getting tuned on a VAFC for us. They gain like 25 mid range whp and gain like 10 peak I think.

FG2 civic si stock is 14.8 best in the 1/4 mile.
s2k stock is 13.7 best in the 1/4 mile.

VAFC stands for VTEC Air Flow Converter

It's a little device that splices into some of the ECU wires to allow a small degree of rudimentary 'tuning' of the air-to-fuel ratio.

They're not very good or worth the money IMO, and on some newer OBDII cars the ECU eventually figures out that it's being tricked and adjusts accordingly to bring engine operation back to stock.

*EDIT*

Oh yeah and those new Si Civics are quite slow. I drove a friends last week and could hardly even notice that it had VTEC.

i raced a civic si with a broken front passenger side rim, a flat rear tire and a F'd up S tearing box... lol and i beat it twice. the first race i missed every gear cause i was nervous about racing right after my accident . I feel dumb for doing it now but i was pissed cause he said my car was slow. and i beat him by three lengths, and I MISSED 2nd 3rd and 4th. second race i ht every gear perfect and beat him by 6... it was awsome. a night ill never forget

There is a vid on youtube with the stock S2 and the mugen civic racing. s2 lost by just a little. But then stock vs full blown is pretty dumb anyways. S2 > Civic.
