That is pretty stupid, but I'm not surprised. But its prolly more common to see something like that happen in your hood tho.

I agree that this is a lame reason to get fired, BUT he's the moron for not taking off the button when asked by his employer. Standing up for your personal beliefs is one thing, but when your job tells you to do something I suggest you do it haha

Nope, not Wally-world, a convenience store and he was fired for not following company policy. He left the store empty to chase that robber. Not only foolhardy but stupid.

I got fired for trying to steal a giant 6' neon "J" off the front of the Jewel grocery store when I was a teenager. Oh, and yes, I was drunk.

Yes i do agree personal beliefs sometimes gets the best of us. But something as small as being patriotic, sharing a common goal with us fellow Americans shouldnt have been that big of a deal. Appearantly it was at home depot that thought it was. I could understand if it was something ridiculous as him carrying a cross behind his back but thats just crazy. Im sure theres alot more similiar stories out there that beats this one.

Yup, if I refused to stop violating company policy after my boss told me I was violating company policy, I'd expect to be unemployed shortly thereafter.

There IS a place where you wear anything you want, they call it HOME! Let's face it they kind of own you at work and part of that is controlling your look so there is corporate uniformity. Anything you sign going in is the way things go from there out.

Now besides that, Christians are getting the short unlubricated end of the PC (Politically Incorrect) stick these days, just for being religious. Not for preaching, not for trying to change things, but usually just trying to keep some things the way they were just yesterday.

Dr. Jimbo? That story is great, I mean it! The one about the neon sign? Sounds like me as a teen. I'm not sure if that is good or not?...

Some things are worth standing up for. Others are just windmills to joust.
