I think it is spelled 'lumbar'.

Oh, I'm sorry. I will not try to help anyone any longer.
From the thread title, I wasn't sure if you were talking about 'lumbar' support or 'Lombard' St. in SF so I opened it to find out. I point out the spelling so you can fix the thread title and maybe find the answer for which you seek. Instead, I get this as a reply: "Great Help We have an english teacher. Nothing better i guess." And we are questioned why NOOBS are treated like they are.

Like the moon it wanes and waxes. But when it shines it's brilliant.

Define Irony:
Gomarlin actually is a teacher (not sure what subject)......LOL To answer the original question, I don't think there is anything for lumbar support for this ride. It wasn't meant to be practical; just sporty. If it helps, I usually only get back pain during a long ride over three hours. When that happens I just ball a towel up and stuff it behind my back and that helps a lot. Holla! |

I also noticed that the thread title has been changed.
BTW, it's math. I was only a "B" student in English.

I'm a chiropractor and I know about lumbar support. All the ones that us chiros sell in our offices seem to push you too far away from the seat. I found a great one at the "As Seen On TV Store" for $13, and it works great in the S.
Here's one I found that is almost identical (but doesn't have a plastic buckle on the strap): http://www.neweradist.com/product.sc...=4&productId=9 Seriously, the one I got at the TV Store is great. It gives you enough support without pushing your upper back away from the seat and it's breathable so your back stays cool.

I just got word back from a patient who compared the one from the website listed above and the TV Store one. The one from the website doesn't have as strong of a frame and doesn't hold up as well as the TV Store one.
Just thought I'd update you...if you care.

My back goes out of whack every once in awhile. When it's really bad I go sit in my stewie for a few minutes and it straightens me right up. Also works in my Prelude.

"English" is a proper noun, and therefore should be capitalized.
"I" is also a proper noun, and should also be capitalized. There. Now we have two English teachers.

English is a proper noun, Hammer, but not there. There, it is an adjective.

Which is why, if we want to be pedantic, the proper sentence would be:
We have a teacher of English. In that case, English is a proper noun. In the original sentence, "we have an english teacher", a proper parsing would suggest we have a teacher who is from England. But I digress. Guess that makes it four? |

it's easy to ad a lumbar support. there are air bladders and bulb (to blow up the bladder) available online. The bladder is easy to install just behind the center perf part of the seat. the bulb goes out towards teh center console and you are off to the races. INstall takes about 5 minutes

Put in a Recaro Pro F1 SPG on Mugen seat rails and 6 point Sparco harness. I have had fractured transverse process vertebra and when I tighten the belts I feel no pain. Drove from Richmond VA to Modesto CA in 3 days with no discomfort.

I just cant imagine putting any sort of lumbar support in a s2000. Seems like if I was concerned about comfort I wouldnt have purchased a gokart I would have picked up a lincoln. Oddly enough I really like lincolns. For awhile I was toying with buying a mark 7 and building it. The downfalls are it has that airbag suspension and is very heavy. The airbag suspension is pretty easy to fix because they make spring kits that replace the bags. Removing the bags would also remove alot of weight from the car. There are alot of choices for rears and it already comes with a 302. I would prolly either boost the 302 or slap a 351 in and boost that. The other issue is the electronics on those cars seemed to fail at about 100k miles and ten years of age which isnt normally a big deal but everything on the dashes is run by computers and I would wanna keep it streetable. The funny part is I brought up lincolns comfort and those cars dont have that comfortable of a seat. Theyre ok but nothing special. I just think itd be cool to see a 500+ hp lincoln driving around. I guess I like them because I have always been a fan of fox body mustangs. They seem like a great car if you wanna build it for road racing or a drag car its a great platform. Tons of parts available and there are alot of proven setups. Another good drag car is the f body. I personally think the cars are junk with interiors that a 5 year old put together but I can not deny that they are great drag cars. I dont know I guess I just like almost all rwd or awd cars. Anyways happy 4th guys keep all your fingers.

As already stated in this thread, a number of S owners have added additional lumbar support using the inflatable bladders. I've seen threads on this on one or more of the other sites. |

isu - where are you going with this post man. with each word, you took many steps away from the point of the thread. you started off on point, but ended with some random stuff there, bud.
i'm not disagreeing with you, i just thought the stream of consciousness was hilarious! |

I have driven my S some long distances and in about two months I will be driving on a 1500 mile trip one way. I use a support for those long drives off and on. I find that there are a few neck supports (the kind you use to sleep on planes or in cars), sort of like small tube pillows which work very well for me. One I have can be molded to the shape I want.

I am sorry. I have been down lumbard street many times and I just don't see how a small pillow would help. Normally packed with tourists, tour buses, a poor surface, lousy for drifting even a little bit, and all those flowers. Don't even think about it if you have allergies. Naw, there is no support that will help with this street.
I would suggest Vermont Street. The real windiest street in San Francisco. No support required. |
